What CAIS stores
CAIS uses your ChatGPT sign-in to identify your account. It stores your profile, tasks, knowledge notes, conversations, drafts, and any content you choose to import. Records are separated by account. Other CAIS users cannot read your workspace through the app.
Connected services
Gmail, Slack, and Notion connections are currently awaiting platform setup. When available, authorization happens with the provider. CAIS stores encrypted access credentials on its server. Refresh imports a recent selection, not your entire account. Connections explains the scope of each import before you connect.
Using AI
AI activation is pending. If you enable AI context sharing, requests send your prompt, saved knowledge, open tasks, recent CAIS conversation, and any selected item to OpenAI. This is used to produce the response, not to train a personal model. Requests set storage off; OpenAI’s own processing and retention policies still apply. CAIS saves the resulting conversation or draft. AI context sharing is optional and can be turned off in Account.
Review before sending
CAIS does not send AI replies automatically. Sending requires you to review and confirm a saved reply. Imported content may contain mistakes or instructions from other people; review the assistant’s output before relying on it.
Your controls
Export your saved records from Account. Edit or remove your tasks and notes in the workspace. Disconnecting a service removes its credentials and imported content from CAIS; revoke CAIS access in the provider’s settings as well. A full account deletion control is not yet available. Saved data remains until removed; provider and hosting backups may retain copies under their own policies.
Infrastructure
CAIS runs on OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Connected services process requests under their own policies. CAIS does not include advertising trackers or sell workspace content. Public beta features and availability can change.
